For a certain 250 owner...this pic is to document special needle spacers for use with jet kit needles. The spacers fill the lost gap of the stock needle "heads" and prevent needle up/down float (especially during slide falling/decel conditions)
Not using them otherwise allows the needles to "dance" somewhat within the retainers....essentially...unable to be properly retained....and could jeopardize the stability of the C-clip in the long term....wear would eventually occur.
From my stock, I've used these now on 500 and 250 applications where the owner chose to use jet kit needles.....I highly recommend their use.
