The Air Drakes are great -- they've got flaps that open at the knees to keep things cool. I use them all the time, down to 38F earlier this week (before I dropped the bike), up to a high of 100F this summer in suburban Philly. I typically wear them as pants rather than overpants, though I think their hip protection is light -- just a basic foam -- so I often use Alpinestars Bionic Freeride Shorts underneath. Other than that, the knee and shin armor stays in place. It just works!
