Specially because the N300 has a lot of engine brake so you adjust your braking to that, and when you loose it you're in trouble.

Yes I've made a few trips into the grass as well. I'd be interested to know from anyone with a 400 if it also suffers from the same issue of popping out of gear. The slipping clutch on the 400 should be an easier fix, with the replacement of the friction plates and springs.
