No load high speed is probably the worst thing you can do to an engine. And, it won’t prove your carburator cleaning job of the mains. The engine needs to be under load to use the large a,ount of fuel the mains provide. So, got it out on the road and run it up in 2nd to 12,500. No point pulling past that as the power starts dropping off.
My '12 has a rev limiter, I've bounced off it. Why wouldn't the '08?
