The fact that they got back to you is a very positive sign. If I were to consider you for employment and it wasn't worth a 3 - 4 hour drive to meet with me I'd figure you didn't have what it took to do the job. Don't be a freakin' millennial and expect an offer on a silver platter. A job with the AMA is not available to everyone - an order taker at McDonalds is. Opportunity knocks once.
