I've done a number of 24-hr rallies (riding for 24 hrs straight). Usual mileage on those is between 1000 - 1100 miles over that time period, but one back in 2009 worked out to 1,400+ miles over that 24-hr period.

I'd love to show this post to my dad, as yesterday when we were wiring in some more brake lights, looking for a place to put a 12v he says, "yeah the ninjas arent meant for long distances like our concours's are, town riding only." I told him anywhere he wants to go on his connie I'll lead on the 250. I have to hold my tongue a little though, as he's the one that helps me work on all the bikes I buy.
