My 2010 250R came with LighTech frame sliders when I purchased it last summer. They attach to the frame in 3 places. The left slider was badly bent upwards and inwards with the end badly scuffed. When I bought the bike, the left slider was bent upwards and inwards so badly that it had pushed into the fairing above it and cracked it. Clearly the bike had been crashed and skidded for a while. When I took the fairings and slider off, the frame was not bent at all. I managed to straighten out the bent slider with a lot of heat and pounding. No doubt I weakened it but I don't really care.

All in all, considering how badly mashed the slider was, the fact that the frame was not bent indicates to me that the slider worked pretty well.
