I think the only gear (vice parts) I've bought since my last post was a REV'IT! Cyclone 2 H2O Rain Jacket. Packs up nicely in even my smallest backpack (22L REI Stuff Daypack), and does what it claims on the tin when worn over my existing jacket. I'd recommend it.

Keep me posted on the longevity of the loop side of the velcro, I have the Cyclone jacket and the Pacific suit and the loop side of the velcro doesn't hold well over time... I'm starting to have difficulty to attach it properly. Maybe it doesn't like water...
