And as a cleaner/degreaser that is alkaline, you want to avoid getting it on exposed aluminum for prolonged periods since it advances corrosion as the US Army found out many years back. Since it's a degreaser it can also dry out rubber parts prematurely and eat away at the wax hence for the same reason is why you shouldn't wash your vehicles with dish soap. If you do, dilute it and make sure to rinse very thoroughly and then apply a coat of wax again. For reasons above, Simple Green makes a specific aircraft cleaner formula that they state is safe for use on all metals, plastics, rubber and vinyl.
