From a 2008 GSXR 600. The shock didn't require much. All you have to do is drill out the mounting holes, because the bolts that are stock on the ninja are a bit larger. To make the bike fit the shock though, a few things had to be done. The knuckle that the dogbones, shock, and frame attatch to had to be ground down a bit, because the yoke on the bottom of the GSXR shock is slightly narrower than the one on the stock ninja shock. I had to use washers as spacers under the dogbones along with longer bolts, because the GSXR spring is slightly larger in diameter than the ninja spring. And finally, the mud guard had to be trimmed very minimally to clear the shock. Overall, it was a very easy mod once I found the new bolts and washers.

As for the spring, it's just right for me. It's less harsh than the stock ninja spring, and it reacts more quickly.
