All the track info is here....

Palmer Motorsports Park, Palmer, MA
http://www.palmermotorsportspark.com/

There are sound limits at this track. You have been warned. Wasn't a big deal last year but if you've got one of those stupid-loud megaphone exhausts, you might have a really short day.

Palmer is... is... well, just LOOK at it! How can you NOT want to ride here? Massive elevation change including a Laguna Seca-like diving turn.

Super-cool drone video that can't be embedded because it's on Facebook.... worth watching!

Steely-eyed missile man and TTD instructor Paul Duval gives us a narrated lap:

Track facility update: There is garage space available, rented per bay. You can fit four bikes in a bay. The full garage building is $50/day, while the open-sided "carport" along the pit all is $40/day. Both have power. You're supposed to reserve at the Palmer website: Go here http://palmermotorsportspark.com/events.aspx and click through to find your event. It's pretty casual, so no biggie if you mess up. A shower building is up, but as of 2016 there were permitting issues that prevented it from being used. There's a bathroom trailer with flush toilets but for the most part, it was still porta-potties.

Note: Turn numbers are not consistent. For our purposes, the left hander at the bottom of the hill after pit-out is Turn 2. The Turn 4/5 complex is the climbing left-right S. The diving left-hander is Turn 7. The big banked right-hand carousel is Turn 9, aka The Bowl.

There are rumors this track might be run in reverse someday....

Thompson Speedway, Thompson, CT
http://www.thompsonspeedway.com/

Thompson has garage space with power for rent (2016 price was $25/bike, reservations not needed), showers, fuel on-site ($$$) and is easily the best track for spectators. Fun, point-and-shoot.

Note: It can be tricky to talk about this track because the turn numbers aren't consistently described. The key is that the bridge turn is Turn 5, either direction.

"Normal" clockwise direction, narrated by Ken Condon

"Reverse" counterclockwise (which I think is more fun.... ijs...)

New York Safety Track, Harpersfield, NY

Great track overall, with really nice flow and variety.

NYST runs both directions: "Uptown" is counterclockwise, "Downtown" is clockwise.

Showers, but no garages. Word has it that limited power is available and there are rumors of it spreading but I don't know any details. The paddock can be a bit challenging and is very crowded. The lower area is not level and the upper area by the building is nothing but a strip of pavement with people parked on both edges.

New Jersey Motorsports Park, Millville, NJ

NJMP hosts MotoAmerica, and is spectator-friendly. I've not done a track day here, but did a couple of parade laps of the Thunderbolt circuit when I saw the late-season MotoAmerica race with Ben a couple of years ago. The track has nice flow and looks like it'd be a hoot at speed. I don't know the garage situation for track days. Heads-up if you're trailering from the north: Getting across the Hudson with a trailer can be expensive, depending on which bridge you use. The farther north you can do it, the better.

Now you have Bohemian Rhapsody stuck in your head. You're welcome.
