Not sure what they get for it in your area, but the total cost in the Madison WI area was $277.00. Not cheap, but if you are under 18 I believe it's required in order to get a cycle license in WI.

Go into it open-minded and relaxed. Have fun, and know that you are doing the right thing to get started for a lifetime of riding.
