Installed.
Took less than ten minutes. The stock bolts have a lot of threadlocker (blue) on them, so I had to put an extension (a changeable-bit screwdriver handle) on the Allen wrench to get a bit more leverage, but no problems.
Rode back to work, which is about 20 miles, two-thirds suburban streets/roads and one-third parkway.
Immediate impressions: The bike is at least 5 mph faster and fuel economy has improved by 3 mpg!
Seriously.... They do make a noticeable change that I like. They do more or less what I'd hoped for at speed... my hands are still up high and close in when I'm tucked, but my wrists are rotated thumbs-up a bit.
The change is not dramatic, but it is noticeable.
Handling is, of course, the same.
So overall, a nice, relatively inexpensive ergonomic tweak. These are not poor-man's clip-ons. They do not move the bars forward or down. All they do is change the angle of the grip.
