YAMAHA has announced the price and specifications of the
MT-10, the latest addition to the naked MT range, based on the current
YZF-R1.
The 998cc four-cylinder crossplane engine has been detuned from the R1's 200hp to a new lower peak of 160.4hp. Peak torque is around the same, at 81.8lbft, but lies lower in the range, at 9,000rpm instead of 11,000.
Claimed wet weight is 210kg and the price is £9,999 plus tax and registration.
The MT-10 is due to be launched in late April or early May 2016.
Yamaha announced the specifications in Spain at the launch of the new
MT-03 and updated 2016 MT-09. We'll bring you full reviews of those soon.
