ebay fanatics(like me) know that eBay "temporally" took time off ebates so i emailed ebates for some info and this is what the email said

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. eBay has been testing the effectiveness of loyalty sites such as Ebates by tying to go a few months without us. In addition, they are currently not offering Cash Back on any other shopping site. We had expected this test to end on October 1st, but eBay is requiring more time. As you may have noticed, we still have the eBay logo on Ebates, and a page that says they will be back in October. We are hesitating to remove these entirely, since we still hope to get them back soon. Shortly, we will need to decide about removing these from Ebates. We appreciate your patience while we work with eBay on this.
