LOL Drew ! Um NO I stapled the cover to the inside of the plastic pan... but I used 9/16" staples (your supposed to use 1/4") and they stuck all the way through to the outside.... and yes that would wake you up quickly !!!!!
so I bent the staples over and crushed them back down ....it looks funky but it will hold.... I only had that trouble on the low spot of the seat on both sides
...I managed to bend the long staples in the front over without them poking through.... probably what I should have done on the sides too but I was getting sick of playing with the seat by then !
