My longest day started about 10 am, ended the next morning about 4 am.

Rode only about 600 miles. Lots of back and mountain roads.

Had a route planned, a riding buddy lost his wallet, so we ended up backtracking (after dark) through what is normally a GREAT twisty mountain road. But we were hitting all the places we had pulled over or stopped. I wasn't going to head for home and leave him alone on a remote road.

Ended up that my last 150 miles or so were on my own, on a highway.

I'd say that day quit being fun after about 8 hours. But that was mostly from the stress of the ride going sideways, needing to backtrack, my friend freaking out...etc.
