Replace Fuel Gauge with Fuel Light?

I'm planning on replacing my stock gauges with a Trailtech Vapor. The Vapor takes care of tach, speedometer, and coolant temp. I'm going to get the 022-PDA dashboard holder that gives you 4 indicator lights as well to use for neutral, hi-beam, turn signal, fuel etc.

I'd like to use the fuel light - I know that everyone says to use the trip odometer and I do that as well but I also like having a visual indicator in case I forget to reset the odometer.

Can the signal from the fuel gauge be used to trigger a low fuel light? I'd imagine that it's just sending variable voltage to the gauge, so maybe with a resistor it could trip the light at the correct voltage?
