Here's a clean install:
https://www.ninjette.org/forums/show...8&postcount=25 . Pretty simple to set up:
- mount gauge, I bolted on aluminium plate. Velcro for phone/GPS/lap-timer
- connect power wires
- connect tach wire
- replace factory coolant-switch with coolant-sensor and connect wire
- tape/zip-tie speed-sensor to bottom of fork
- glue speed-sensor magnet to brake-disc
Takes all of 30-45 minutes to install. Nice thing is you have programmable shift/redline light. And readouts of ambient outside-air temp as well as coolant temperatures. Speed can be calibrated to exact tyre-size, so 100% accurate.
Trick to lining up speedo-drive on front-wheel is to make wood wedge to roll wheel onto, or use your toe to hold wheel up while you rotate speedo-drive. With this unit, you don't have to line up rotation of speedo-drive, just use it as wheel-spacer.
