Better than smoked, but I can't recommend them as they do make things darker, but when I was a kid & had the chicken pox, it attacked the iris of my eyes(I forget the proper term for this) making everything really bright... I have to wear sunglasses when other people say "the suns not even out" and because of this, I can almost ride around at night with my smoked visor here in toronto with all of our street lights
