Better idea, keep the 250r and learn to ride.
What your experiencing now is a confidence override from not crashing in 2 weeks time.
It will happen, especially if you have it in your head that you can handle a 600 right now.
I say keep the 250 for a year and then get a used 600 with scratched fairings if possible.
Thats my own personal plan.
