Anything more than 3 or 4 months of gas in the carbs is going to cause problems. You may be looking at a carb cleaning. I would add a filter to your fuel line as well. (I did) also get in the habit of draining carbs and using stabilizer for the winter. Or do what is even better, ride all year.
