So I've come full circle and am back to beating on a pregen Ninja250 after years of 600s and a 750. These are the Geo Metros of street bikes; cheap to operate, tough as nails, and craploads of fun despite being down a bit on straight line performance.
My '06 is running Unipods, DJ110 mains, 3 1/2 grooves DJ needles, drilled slides, 2 1/2 turns out idle- basically Dynojet stage 3. This seemed to run slightly rich everywhere but idle until I hammered the baffles out of the stock exhaust. The only issue I still have w the bike is just how obnoxiously loud it is now, those pod filters alone make enough racket lol. Exhaust options seem to be limited on these pregens but I'm def in the market for a used Muzzy 2-1 or a couple of slip-ons.
