I believe 14t is stock for the front, no? I went up one, so I think I have a 15t now. I've heard the 16t fits with a newer-gen sprocket cover but I didn't have to do that. If the 15t makes it this much harder to spool up I can imagine the 16t would be a highway commuting-only ordeal.
Regardless, I have the old sprocket sitting in my toolbox now and I plan to reinstall that. I'll count them for science.
I do know I'm not shifting 3 times before I hit 30, but I'm probably revving it more than most would.

The 16/44 gearing may calc out to that, but that little 250 doesn't have the hp for it. I may have hit 90 on a straight last Saturday afternoon, but the rpms weren't climbing fast enough and I wasn't near redline. Maybe I was 11k. Dropping a tooth up front will help fix that.
