I've got an 2001 ZZR 250 that is my dailly mule and trip bike. I'm actually doing a Cannonball 500 (800 kms in 12 hours) next Sunday with it.

The pregen ZZR offers more wind protection with it's fairings and the seating position is a little more upright which is great if you want to do some touring.

You can do everything the same on both bikes, but my opinion is that the ZZR offers slightly more "comfort" for longer rides.
