Derp, thanks for the correction. That's what I get for thinking about engine mechanical issues after 12 hours of writing grants. Since the manual says clockwise, and it rotates counter- when under power (and both Ninja250.org and the Yeager group suggest counter-), I'd wager it really doesn't matter. That, or there's a major typo in the manual and several people I know have been getting away with a no-no for a long while.
