Intake mods yields no benefits of any kind due to restrictive passages in head. Airbox and filter are HUGE and does not restrict flow in amy way. They're about same size as on my CBR600RR with 4x power and 4x airflow. Dyno-tests with and without airbox shows no improvements. Only effective intake mod is to port & polish head.
Best bolt-on mod is full 2-1 exhaust. Gets you lots more power and speed. About an additional 3-5 bhp.
As with any NA engine, biggest bang-for-buck & time is internal. Big-bore high-compression pistons will give 5x improvement of all external bolt-on mods combined.
