Sense I cannot see the Right side of the intake cam except through a very small hole in the cables and frame it's real hard to photograph it.
but it's orientation looks to be just slightly lower than the top of the head by about 1/16" max.... if it were a tooth off it would be as much as a 1/4" off
on 2 marks the inside mark and on the outside mark. both marks would be off and not line up.... so I am fairly confident that the timing is right on the button
....
So that only leaves the carbs in this fiasco.... and sense it's 22 degrees out side I am not going out there right now to work on it.
..... I'll put it back together and then Pull the carbs off and put them on the bench and pull the float bowls and see what I can see.
....
I did fix the pictures to be upright.... and as you can see the timing looks to be dead on.... as the crank is at 2T with it on it's compression stroke.
