Beats me. I used to race in PA many many years ago. The track I raced on had a long front straight with a sweeping turn into the back stretch. There was jump followed by a twisty section and then into a long sweeping turn into the front stratight.
The racing was called scrambles. Flat Track was a big oval.
All I can say it the jump did not help the Harley's. One factory bike broke in half

I think some of the next races are on traditional flat tracks, sliding sideways at high speed on your steel shoe.
