Good news for now is that while it appears to be insanely communicative, it is less deadly, and fully vaccinated people are unlikely to see serious complications. It remains an unsolved math problem of how bad a disease that we'll all likely get (but won't significantly hurt many/most of us), is compared to a disease that less of us get - but impacts us more (like Delta, or even other non-covid examples).
