I know you went down few days ago but how was your DC - Pburgh ride? Tons of great roads on the way up, hopefully you didn't stick to the highways.
I love coming through the mountains between Thurmont, MD and Hagerstown. Awesome road. And some really great roads between MD, PA boarder and Breezewood. 30 East is decent for a bit till you get past Somerset, but by then you should dump down onto 271 and head South West towards Ohiopyle then back North West towards the Burgh.
