Oh, yeah, I should totally have given her countersteer and leaned more. I could probably have held it. I forgot to commit to the corner, is the real thing.
Thank you for the well-wishes, everybody. I was glad I was wearing my gear, for sure! Leather jacket, kevlar pants, good gloves, good full-face helmet, and I even had good boots! I'd been wearing work boots but husband recently bought me real boots.
I was glad that my brain was essentially still working the whole time. I knew I was sliding, and I knew to not do much, to let the bike do its thing, and I think I was doing mostly ok, even in the slide, but then she flipped to the other side and I didn't have anything I could do. I think something grabbed and the back wheel got traction. Luckily I had managed to scrub off a lot of my speed.
Would have been an amazing video for me if I'd been able to hold it in the slide and get back on the road.
