According to the FIM technically
Superbike = 750cc 4 1000cc twin -> changed to 1000cc 4 1200cc twin
Supersport = 600cc 4 750 twin -> 600cc 4 675 3 and I think technically still a 750 twin
Alot of people refer to 'supersport" and "superbike" in reference to the race replica class bikes but the term has been extended to the "top tier" performance models in each displacement range. Even Kawi labels all the R bikes "supersports" while Suzi calls them "sportbikes".
Either way the term is used a little bit loosely, and not work the scrutiny lol
As far as this little Honda ...... I can't quite decide what the emphasis was lol. I mean its got larger upside down forks but no radial opposed piston calipers. Its got what appears to be "non-traditional" steel frame instead of the standard twin-spar aluminum for sportbikes but its got nicer aluminum swingarm. Clip ons but non-detachable subframe.
As a concept it looks amazing, will be interested to see what actually makes it if the bike moves forward.
