I'm thinking it has to do with the hidden wedge. I know they had stated that they preferred we wear something with no heel on it. they don't have a heel on the sole, it's on the inside.
they also didn't mention anything about having to be flat footed on the bike when I was talking to them about the various seat heights of the bikes they offered. if they had I would have just worn my boots without saying a word.
