No need to lift the bike to align the forks. The handlebar risers keep the fork tubes from sliding up through the triple tree, so just loosen bolts, grip the wheel between your legs, and twist the bars. If the tree is bent then it may require force to hold the bars straight to the wheel while the bolts are tightened. If no amount of force will hold the bars straight then the tree is bent and should be replaced.

Look at the risers to make sure they're not bent, there should be no gap where they bolt to the top of the tree.
