It looked ok on the windshield but I wasn't a fan of it being opaque and removed it. The little bits of spray that got on the edges and to the other side bothered me too.
Should be alright on the heat shield and end cap if you like the look. I forgot if it was holding up for other people on the end cap, but it holds up on the heat shield.
