I think that the engineers at Kawasaki spent considerable time coming up with a muffler that would be quiet and still produce optimum performance. I do not feel qualified to question their judgment, nor do I intend to spend copious amounts of cash to compensate for non OEM parts such as rejetting, changing the air intake, etc. I ride for relaxation and am not particularly into noise. I remember owning an AC Cobra in the 60`and getting a screaming headache after driving that beast for a half an hour. I traded it in on a corvette, and never regretted that decision. The stock Ninja has a pleasant, unpretentious sound. True, it may sound dimiuative, but when that clutch is let out, there are no doubts,
