Replacing tires. Current sport performers?

So I'm going to be replacing tires soon-ish. I did a few searches, and the latest I found was from 2016. Seeing if there were any updated tires/compunds that you can recommend.

I live in Houston Tx, so it gets sticky hot, and wet often. Currently the Ninjette is my daily commuter, since my car has failed.

2008 Ninja 250R (I also have the 2006, but that is currently down for maintenance )

My criteria.

Sticky.
Wet weather.
Spirited riding.

- Not concerned with mileage.- nor interested in dual compound "TOUR /sport"

If a better compound is available in a wider size, but not stock width, then I can go with that. As long as the tire doesnt get pinched, or need a swingarm upgrade. For once I am happy with stock, but like I said, no issues going larger, if needed.

Current rubber is Pirelli Sport Demons, ( 4 to 5 years old) out in front and back.

Recommendations?
