Maybe he just had a crazy day and normally does not do that. Perhaps you will get a chance to talk to him, and you will know a bit more.
I passed my motorcycle license test with a nutcase. I listened a lot at first, and then told him that I think he should save all his stunts for an empty parking lot, buy some good gear, and avoid public roads because he will just cause an accident. It did not help, at least not immediately. We parted ways with him being very cross and me being concerned.
What will people think? People who know you and who care, know how you ride and know that you don't do crazy stuff. Others will see another crazy bike rider, and perhaps form or modify their general opinion about motorcyclists.
Not much you can do about it, I think. Not much to worry about, either. Buying a different helmet or a jacket won't help. Most people just see a motorcycle. Just hope he gets some sense in his head before something bad happens.
