I'm sure everyone checks CC's to some extent but I've been an insurance agent for almost 4 years now and I can definitely tell you that in NC they are outrageous on sport bikes. Progressive just looks more aggressively at other factors than engine size. I've also heard that NC has quite a high motorcycle theft rate which may have something to do with our higher bike insurance prices. I haven't had a ticket of any kind in over 5 years either. knock on wood!
