Yeah, those interlock circuits are picky. You need to electronically test those switches. They need to be closed to start. Test by unplugging terminals and bridging them with a paperclip.

Also make sure you have gas in tank by looking inside. Gas-level sender may have gotten damaged and is lying to you.
