Circa 1977
Pictures of my old Norton 850 Interstate in the crate and on the road. The Interstate was just like the Commando except that it had a 6.5 gallon gas tank and a 19 tooth counter shaft sprocket (the Commando had a 17 tooth.) My Norton would eat Harley Sportsters for breakfast even with the large counter shaft sprocket. The biggest mistake I made was putting the Norton on the road after assembling it. It was a beautiful motorcycle. I wish I had just put it on display in my living room.
