Always good to have a witness!
When I got in my auto accident a couple years back I was pretty much dismissed from the scene after about 15 mins or so b/c there was so many people who saw the accident happen and each told the same story to authorities (the guy flew passed a stop sign off a side street, cut across two lanes of traffic and hit me pretty hard).
The insurance company totaled my car and I got a check for about 3 times as much as what I paid for it.
