Muzzy has not only the carbon or stainless, but also round or oval for stainless. Carbon only comes in oval. I've run all 3:

Round stainless w/out quiet core
Oval stainless with and w/out quiet core
Oval carbon w/quiet core

The quiet core is not really a good name, but it does quiet it down a bit. The AreaP looks decent enough but at 100+ more than the muzzy, not such a great deal.

You lose the cetner stand with the Muzzy
You can pay extra $$ and buy an adapter bracket for the AreaP to keep your center stand
If you can find a Yosh 2:1 you get to keep your center stand, but you lose access to your oil filter - gotta remove the pipe to do a change

I've run everything except the AreaP. For my money, I'd go with the Yosh if you can find one in good condition. I liked the sound of it the best, and it was "quieter" than the Muzzy in any configuration. If you go with the Muzzy, spend the extra $35 or so to get the quiet core - your neighbors will appreciate it.
