Most of the time, people recommend against converting the high beam because the hid ballast requires some seconds before getting up to full brightness. In the ninjette, if u convert both to hids they'll both be on at the same time and that would negate any high beam. Also, you will need to adjust the headlights so they're aimed properly to not blind oncoming traffic.
