Its a fallacy to believe because youre building a bike for the track its cheaper to pick up a clapped out bike, believe me I learned the hard way.
Spend a little extra to get one in good condition. Then you can sell off the parts you dont need to offset the extra expense. Example, you buy this bike for ~$1600 but cant sell the bodywork, exhaust, headlight, or anything of value because its all scratched up or broken. OR you buy a $2500 bike and sell all those parts for a couple hundred dollars and end up with a base bike in better condition.
And FYI, your R6 isnt losing most of its value because of mileage. Those loose value because theyve basically been unchanged over a decade and new ones are rolling out constantly. I would not have one bit of hesitation sinking that $2k into your current bike instead of a clapped out 300
