I wonder if that's 100% accurate? What was your experience?
I rode mine for about 50 miles without doing any carb work on it (was waiting for the special JIS screw bits to arrive), it run fine to be honest. But then I shimmed (2, 3mm (#4), washers on each needle) and suffice it to say, I'll never go back
As to rejetting, maybe I'll do that when I get a full exhaust, but with just a slip-on shimming was all my ninjette needed and I have no flat spots or any other weird issues in the power. So, my best advice would be to shim it. Experiment, that's the key word when it comes to finding the sweet spot (mine was 2 washers under each needle + removed snorkel).good luck
