Hey, so I have no previous motorcycle experience, other than seeing my BF's Honda 919 or his dad's BMW RF1000. My little ninja tends to need 5-10 minutes of idling before she'll rev. It sounds like it's idling very very slow for awhile before finally sounding normal. This is rather annoying when I just want to get going! The other bikes I've seen just start right up and go.

Is this normal for a ninja? I've got an appointment to get my valves adjusted next week. Is there anything that might cause this that I should ask them about?

(FYI she's a 2008 250r with ~20k miles)
