Actually the 250 is carbureted, not injected. That is why it has a choke and takes more time to warm up than an FI bike like a 919. Does its idle speed increase with the choke on? If not it might be out of adjustment. Also these bikes are lean, the choke richens the mixture to help with starting. There should be some threads here re the choke and jetting to make the bike run better. Depending on location and jetting 5 minutes is not extreme, 10 would indicate a problem
