By the way, the supposed security measure of putting it in 1st to prevent someone from "rolling it away" is silly. It isn't a car, everyone has access to the shift lever, so I don't think that idea holds any merit. However, the wheel lock does force a would-be thief to actually lift the bike onto a truck. For our light bikes, that isn't a huge deal, but certainly better than nothing.
